CLOSING - Lake Leelanau Recycling Site

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:

The Leelanau County Recycling Site located at the Benzie-Leelanau Health Department east of Lake Leelanau will be CLOSING. The site will be closed by September 20, 2018, due to new ownership of the property and a request to move the site. No materials are to be left at this site once it is closed.

Leelanau County households can utilize any of the 24 hour / 7 day recycling sites located at:

Greilickville:        Cherry Bend Rd at the old fire station.

Suttons Bay:        School parking lot, near the football field

Peshawbestown: M-22 north of the gas station

Empire:                Fisher St, off of LaCore Rd

Glen Arbor:          Leelanau Schools, off M-22

Cedar:                  Near the boat launch

Northport:           Village

Glen Lake School: Side of school, near football field


The Leelanau County Solid Waste Council is looking for a new location in the Leland/Lake Leelanau area and appreciates any suggestions for a new recycling site.
