Acceptable/Unacceptable Items

Hazardous waste such as batteries, oil, electronics, etc. do not belong in the garbage or your local recycling site. To properly dispose such items and more, contact the Planning Department for an appointment for 2023 collections. Collections are for Leelanau County Households only and by appointment. Costs for these collections are covered under P.A. 69 of 2005 - a charge placed on Winter Tax Bills.
