Leelanau County Government Offices will host its 5th annual “Trick or Treat” at the Leelanau County Government Center on Thursday, October 31 from 3 pm to 5 pm.   The event will feature kids activities, candy treats, cider, and donuts.  

Participants are invited to visit offices for treats and check out the festive Halloween decorations and costumes!  Parents – bring your cameras and enjoy a safe and warm environment for Trick or Treat.

 This event is paid for and sponsored by Leelanau County employees, along with donations from a few local businesses.  All offices in the Government Center WILL be open for business until 5 pm on October 31.

Join us for a session on Recent Trends in Short Term Rentals and Options for Local Regulation.                                                                                                             

Date:  Monday, December 2, 2019 starting @ 6:30 pm.  Presentation followed by Questions/Answers.

Location:  Leelanau County Government Center, lower level, 8527 E. Government Center Dr., Suttons Bay 4982

This session will include a presentation by Kathy Egan, Manager of Community Development, Networks Northwest, Traverse City.  Kathy will present recent trends regarding short term rentals, including the increase of rentals across the county and region.  The session will also feature Mary Reilly, AICP, Government and Public Policy Educator at MSU Extension.  Mary will discuss options that local governments can consider with regard to regulation of short term rentals.

This session is sponsored by the Leelanau County Planning Commission.
